Beau is a gentle, sweet 10-year-old gentleman who has weathered more life changes than most dogs ever should. After losing his beloved owner and then his foster in Texas due to illness, Beau packed up his bags and bravely started over once again. Despite it all, he remains pure love—proof that he has always been cherished and still has plenty of affection to give.

Like many of us during tough times, Beau turned to comfort food and gained a little “emotional support fluff.” Since arriving in Colorado, he’s committed to his health journey and is happily working on shedding a few pounds—especially since he loves his walks! He’s a great leash walker, fully housetrained, and an all-around good boy. Beau gets along well with other dogs, and while cats are still a mystery, we suspect he’d be just fine with them too.

Beau is crate trained and responds best to gentle guidance and positive reinforcement. He’s the kind of dog who wants to do the right thing—and with patience and consistency, he picks up routines quickly. When he’s not out strolling or being polite, Beau’s favorite activity is cuddling. He’s calm, easygoing, and ready to settle into a home where he can enjoy his golden (and best) years in comfort.

Beau is a loving, resilient soul who’s ready to give his whole heart to a family looking for a loyal companion. His forever home will gain a warm presence, a devoted friend, and a whole lot of love wrapped in a sweet senior package.
