Meet Jethro!

 

Jethro is about 4 years old and as sweet as can be. Picked up as a stray from El Paso (he has healing attack marks on his head and neck), Jethro is leaning into Colorado life! He walks beautifully on leash, and loves dogs, cats, and older kids (he is very shy). He rides beautifully in the car (though he’d prefer your lap), and at a healthy weight, he’ll be around 65 pounds of gentle sweetness. He has very low key energy at the moment, no jumping up or anything naughty like that. He takes a moment to warm up as he is very skittish, but once he does this boy will lean on you with all his weight.

 

Jethro is struggling with house training (pee only, never poop). He has a few nerves if you leave him home alone — some whimpering, and he will mark so a pee band is a must. But nothing destructive at all! He says 'no thanks' to a crate (we think he was over crated at one time and has some crate trauma). He is perfect off leash and stays within a few feet of you.

 

This sweet boy is learning all the beautiful things life has to offer. We think he would prefer a home with another pet, but we are open for the right single pet home.
