Little Miss Sophia has landed from New Mexico where she was picked up as a stray and the wonderful people there reached out asking for our help. This pretty girl is a shy and sweet 1 yr old. She has been in play group at the shelter and tested perfectly with other dogs. We don't know about cats, and per our policy on unknown dogs she will not be adopted to a family with kids under 7- although she delightful with people of all ages.

 

Her foster reports she is a slightly shy, but eager to please little girl. She is VERY food motivated. She is house trained, great on leash (doesn't pull at all) and a very easy sweet personality. She might have a little lab in her and she has some of that happy go lucky they are famous for. Her dog and people greeting manners are gentle and pleasing- no jumping or any craziness. She met her foster's Weim and little Chi mix and was perfect and submissive. She seems to stay off the furniture too. Sophia is crate trained and is probably ok left home alone but that is still to be tested. She rides beautifully in a car. Sophia already knows a few commands like 'sit' and 'down'. 

 

She will be a great hiking and cool companion to hang out with. She is healthy, recently spayed and good to go. Get your application in fast!
